DigitArt! Learning Lab Training Course in Faro!

The DigitArt! Learning Lab took place between the 24th and 29th of November 2021. During this time, a total of 17 participants from Portugal, Spain, and Italy learned about social media, digitalization, videomaking, and other topics, in a dynamic and practical way.
The first session was an introductory one, split into presenting the objectives of the project and carrying out get-to-know-each-other activities with the participants. The second day was dedicated to talking about storytelling and forms of storytelling.
On the next day, participants were able to learn about social networks, communication plans, audience positioning. The last two workshops provided important insights into the world of communication, bringing us closer to videomaking and citizen journalism.
All these workshops, facilitated by Alexandru Ion, were structured as follows:
- 10 a.m. to 1.30 p.m. – theoretical presentation of the concepts, examples, case studies;
- 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. – practical activity using the newly acquired knowledge (creating a digital story, building a social media strategy, making a participatory video, writing interview questions).
The closing day was revealing in terms of feedback and impressions on the 6-day learning lab. Each of the participants shared with us their opinion on what they learned, what was good, or what could be improved.
Some of the participants emphasized that these days allowed them to develop new skills in digital communication, like in the case of Caterina, who leveled up her knowledge “especially in the field of writing or video making”, or helped them approach differently “the way they think and the way they work”, according to Mehdi and Martina.
Others talked about the good atmosphere, the bonds and friendships created, and the multicultural context that they enjoyed during these days. Virginia really loved this experience because she had “the possibility to meet a lot of nice and beautiful people”, while Marina already considers her colleagues part of her family.
Thank you all for making this happen! You can check our DigitArt! Learning Lab’s photos here:
